On June 17th 2013 I depart from Heathrow for New York. This will be my first stop on a trek which will take me to many places within the USA and a few in Canada. As you would expect, I will exploring many of the larger cities, but it is also my intention to see a good cross-section of small-town America too.
My trek will include a 14 day drive down Route 66 and, as a keen hiker, I am especially looking forward to walking and camping in Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks, and later with friends in the Canadian Rockies.
I am travelling solo, which I have found to be the best way to meet new people. Also, with a trip 81 days long, I also hope to absorb a little bit of American culture and gain some insight into the American psyche.
